Church and Church Agency Recovery Initiatives

The Church is committed to assist communities in the process of recovery.

Over recent years the VCC has:

  • Established visiting teams as part of the immediate response to crisis.
  • Identified and marshalled skilled counsellors from amongst our people and agencies who have assisted in the recovery process. Promoted the   daily ongoing community recovery programme of church caring agencies.
  • Made significant contributions to the rebuilding of communities through the support of local congregations.
  • Developed resources for general public community worship occasions.
  • Made a financial response to assist communities in their recovery through church appeals.
